well i'm still very impressed. especially since i hate ballpens. it's the way you use line for shadow that I was thinking of. Also i have a pentel brush pen (dupuy and berberian's book about lisbon inspired me to get it - have you seen that?) but have always failed miserably with it. but your trees ...

ho, no it's a scan of sketch - wire binding didn't help. not supposed to be out of focus!
