Re: Houston, TX USA
I'm sorry I was too busy to participate or even check the forum this time. There are some people who participate in Houston but I've only been able to make it to one crawl here. I hope you will try again the next time. The Menil would have been a great place to sketch and my impression is that they ...

I'm going to have to work this weekend so I'm out, too, unfortunately.

Re: Houston, Texas, USA
I've been campaigning for a while to just go to the Galleria and draw shoppers and skaters. If anyone has a better and a/c'ed idea let's hear it. It sounds comfortably appealing to me (except for the drawing people part which I have to get over). Of course, if you wanted something different, there'...

Houston, Texas, USA [RESULTS]
It was a beautiful day in Houston but there was just minigirl and me sketching at the the Japanese Festival (http://japan-fest.info) in Herman Park yesterday. She did a lot of beautiful sketches that I hope she posts. I got hung up in the japanese garden doing just one drawing which I will post. For...

Re: Houston, Texas, USA
I agree. What time and place should we meet? The festival starts at 10:00 and is at Hermann Park’s Reflection Pool and Japanese Garden. I assume I would be in the park long before 10:00.

Re: Houston, Texas, USA
I would certainly be happy with Discovery Green. Or anywhere else, actually. Just fyi, the current 10-day forecast calls for sunny skies, 0% chance of rain, and a high of 81 F although that's a bit far away to know how accurate that will be. We can only hope.

Anyone up for a crawl in Houston? Rain seems highly unlikely to ever fall here again here so the weather's likely to be very good. Some place green with flowers might be nice for the watercolorists. The gardens at Bayou Bend (I was there a week ago) are gorgeous right now (I have no idea what they'l...

Good point. I've edited the title back.sketchcat wrote:I'm going to actually post a newer topic. No one wants to wade through all our meetup posts to find our drawings.

Re: Houston, Texas
Would anyone like to meet at Cricket's Cremery & Cafe at 315 w19th Street in the Heights on Saturday Jan 19? There's plenty of inspiration along w19th street. I'm up for almost anything but that looks particularly interesting. Street level views on google maps looks very interesting and hopeful...

The next international SketchCrawl is Saturday, January 19. I have this on my calendar in pen with a thick wall around it to keep out invading engagements. Here's hoping we have a nice crowd of enthusiastic sketchers. Any suggestions for places to meet and sketch?

Re: HOUSTON ,TEXAS-37th International Crawl
I have a sudden family commitment Saturday so am out again. Hopefully, next time. I hope you folks have a great time together and I look forward to your posts. Snag a sketch of a yogaist for me, will ya?
