Re: Edinburgh, Scotland

Sounds good! It looks like there will e a parade happening on the Royal Mile, which is good for peoplewatching too.

Re: San Francisco - CA - USA

I like Chinatown - so much to see and draw in such a small area!

Re: San Francisco, CA - USA

I like the idea! Having time for drawing and THEN time for talking and sharing feels good. I have a really hard time talking and drawing at the same time. Plus then you get an added cool-factor of running across Sketchcrawlers all over the city! People will think it's an Improv Everywhere thing, if ...

I like the idea of crissy field... it's beautiful out there. Lots of people to draw, fields to paint, and that old bridge!

Oooh, I would get both. I would have to struggle with the sadness of filling it up, though... because once it's full, it's not so useful to carry around... :-(

Great stuff from everybody! Despite numbed fingers, everyone seems to have been in the ZONE (the drawing zone). http://www.emmacoats.com/blog/skrawl1.jpg Had fun with the watercolors, which I've been away from long enough to totally forget what I'm doing... http://www.emmacoats.com/blog/lunch.jpg Ke...

Ooh, is that a night heron?

I like the crammed pages - it's very different from the bordered panels you were doing last I saw (which were beautiful, too!).

There's a Utrecht art on New Montgomery, which is south of the Montgomery Street BART station (it's on the next block past the big Academy of Art compound). I think it opens at 10 am.

I've got to go to the art store and find a watercolor brush - my cat hid mine.

Hey Jim, the downtown SF hostel (I think it's a Hostel International) is pretty comfy, and right by Union Square. That's within walking distance of Chinatown - and if Sketchcrawl isn't in Chinatown (?), it's near bus stops and BART. For reservations etc: http://sfhostels.com/downtown/ I'm looking fo...

Looks like Peet's Coffee in the Ferry Building in San Francisco at 11 am on Sunday is the meetup spot.

Look forward to seeing everyone!

Hey Paul, that makes SF look awfully attractive. I'm more interested in doing SF than Berkeley, even though I was tossing out Berkeley suggestions...

The Fishermans' Wharf/North Beach sounds good to me!

I'm all for an east bay crawl! There was a Berkeley one a couple crawls ago, mostly on campus... a walk I've done is Shattuck up to the Rose Garden, which takes you past a lot of really awesome-looking houses, and then you end up with a beautiful view from the rose garden. It might be a little too f...
