NEPA goes solo? (Pennsylvania)

Anyone around the NEPA region (Upper Delaware River Valley, Sullivan County and/or Wayne County) going out to sketch?

It, too, looks good. It also looks big.

Hope it suits your purpose.

I can't make recommendations because 12 never seems enuf--although it should be more than enough. 8) I change my mind all the time especially in the blue and yellow colours. If I can get it down to 12, I'll post but right now I am at 24 and may carry more than one palette. I bought these teeny tiny ...

I don't know anyone who does a sketchcrawl with acrylics but I do know many artists who go out come rain or shine and do plein aire. It takes a little more equipment and great enthusiasm to paint in the winter, but an easel, a back-pack and a back  makes it work.

I like the Microns, and the Pitts, but also use Tomboys ABT with two sides, a brush and a regular. They hold up well, and draw and write well, too. One single disadvantage of these over the Pitts and Microns is their size: The Tomboys are nearly 8" long while the traditional Pitts are just over...

I always want the best sort of looking stuff and the most comfortable and often exchange one for the other. Now I am trying, and hard, to keep it simple. I am putting together some of the stuff I'd like to have on me at all times, including my wallet and camera--a one bag operation. Thus far I've st...

Here it is: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Parsifals/IMG_0241.jpg It is rather a good quality, sturdy material and is bigger and deeper than the Lewis & Clark. It has a two side pockets and two slip-in pockets. Here you can also see the protective sack within the bag with a draw-string--...

Good idea that Lewis & Clark. Actually I have one and never thought of it for my crawls. I'll have to take it out and reconsider it. I just bought a funky wine-cooler bag, much lighter weight than the above, and two side pockets that I've been test running. Unfortunately don't have a picture. Bu...

Thanks for sharing your experiences, Jamie--looks good and worth trying, although, I am max'd out on sketchbooks and had to actually take an inventory.

Perhaps if I sketch more, I'll fill these up and start another round with these.

:)

I have one the Moleskines made for watercolour and would rank it below 10, but greater than 5. It does have a thicker paper than the traditional Moleskines, but it can't be compared favourably with 140 lb watercolour paper I have in other sketchbooks.

Thanks. I am planning to either fly out 29 January or earlier. If I make it for 12-1/2, I'll just sketch crawl around the City before I head up North. Happy New Year. I'm planning on doing it but, as I understand it, it's not really a group thing this time. Just draw around home. Am I wrong? Haven't...

Glad you survived the storm. I posted on another Portland thread asking if folks were going to try for 12-1/2. I might be in Portland on or near the date proposed. Thanks Paintmonster, Zoe, Oliver and Enrico. I've really been enjoying sketching since I came across Enrico and Russell Stutler's websit...

I may be in Portland for the 12-1/2 crawl. And wonder if anyone is planning anything.

Great work. I love Portland and you've captured her so well.

Hope you are doing well, and have power - just heard the City and environs got hit hard.
