Re: Sketch Crawl 34 NEW YORK
Thanks for organizing this one, fellow New York sketchcrawlers! I've got a lot going on this year, so it's good to see new faces stepping forward to organize! I won't be able to make it to this crawl, but will hopefully be at some more later in the year. Have a great time sketching at the Winter Gar...

Re: New York City Sketchers
Hi Joan,
I won't be able to make this one since it's the same weekend as NYC Comic Con. Hopefully a group will still meet up in NYC!

What a great idea! This is surely the most states covered in one Sketchcrawl! Beautiful work, Leslie.

Thank you for sharing your sketches and photos from Norway. The NYC crawl had your country in our thoughts yesterday.

Ok, here are some of my sketches from yesterday. Two watercolors from The High Line before we all started melting. You can see the Statue of Liberty in the distance under the bridge. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6014/5970444953_7941088241.jpg It was very nice to have visitors Hanne and Olve join u...

New York City, NY, USA [RESULTS]
At least 10 people braved the 100 degree temperatures to draw on the High Line in NYC, including two visitors from Norway and two new Sketchcrawlers! I'll have my sketches up soon, but here are some photos for now. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6020/5970148921_9e2131fc90.jpg http://farm7.static.fli...

Re: New York City, NY, USA
As dannylee4 points out, it will be pretty darn hot on Saturday. SO we'll be meeting at 10 am to try to beat the hottest part of the day. I'd still like to see some of the newly opened part of the park, so let's meet on the Highline at the 23rd St entrance. (take the C,E or 1 train to West 23rd St. ...

Hi New Yorkers!
Any suggestions for the July crawl? I'm thinking the new section of the Highline Park might be nice if it's not too hot that weekend.

Feel free to chime in with your thoughts on where to meet.

Hello! Well, I got to the Museum of Natural History a bit late due to train construction and didn't see any fellow sketchcrawlers waiting. I'd like to think I wasn't the ONLY one drawing in NYC, so please post your drawings even if you were at a different NYC location! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Pj-y...

Re: New York, NY, USA
Yes, I was holding out and hoping for better weather. The zoo does have some indoor spaces, but I understand if people don't want to travel to the Bronx and not get the whole outdoor zoo experience. We did draw at the Met last time but I like the idea of the Museum of Natural History if people are u...

New York, NY, USA
Any ideas of where to draw for this next crawl? I'm hoping the weather will be a bit nicer and we'll be able to draw outside for a change. I was thinking spring time at the Bronx zoo would be nice. Or if that's too far for people, maybe the Central Park zoo. The Bronx zoo is larger and even if it's ...

About 12 sketchcrawlers came out to draw at the Met, some from as far as White Plains and New Jersey! Thanks for braving the cold everyone, and hope to see some of your sketches here as well! http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5004/5379353033_2b27017e61.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5046/5379353035...

Re: New York, NY
Okay, since no one else is chiming in, how about we meet up at the Met around 11 am. We can draw there for a while, break for lunch and then if anyone wants to go to MOMA or somewhere else, we can move the crawl on from there! Sound good? We can meet near the big central information kiosk right past...

Re: New York, NY
I know a lot of people don't want to pay the steep entry to MOMA (myself included) and the last time I was there on a Saturday it was mobbed. Honestly I can always do the Met, I just know there's always someone who is tired of it. What do you guys think? Anyone else out there planning to come out?
