Re: San Francisco: Presidio [RESULTS}
Great work from everyone! So inspiring. This was one of the best crawls I've been on. Weather and location turned out pretty nicely in my opinion! Except the bay breeze had something to say by the end of the day at Starbucks...hopefully no one lost a sketchbook to the wind! Here are the two pages I ...

Re: San Francisco, CA, USA
Hi, I called the Starbucks and found out there's only 20 minute parking there; besides that, they said, there's only street parking. They didn't know of any lots near by, but I think the parking lot at the Visitor Center (mentioned earlier on this forum) sounds like a good choice if we can't find st...

Re: San Francisco, CA, USA
Cool! Meeting at the starbucks at 11 am sounds good. I was poking around google maps again just now and found a recommended walk: http://maps.google.com/maps?client=safari&q=34+Moraga+Ave,+San+Francisco,+CA&oe=UTF-8&ie=UTF8&split=0&gl=us&ei=og5VSq_sKZPAsQO448W2Dg&ll=37.79...

Re: San Francisco, CA, USA
If anyone here is familiar with the Presidio, maybe they could give a few ideas for where to start. There's free parking at Crissy field, so that's where I'll probably park, if we can find a space.

Re: San Francisco, CA, USA
Usually we meet up at around 11am. If we're all traveling in separate smaller groups, (from my memory) we usually will make an estimated meeting time and place for the end of the day, usually around 5. If we're following a specific path, sometimes we'll make a mid-day meeting time to check up on eve...

SketchCrawl Valencia-Results
It's taken far too long, but here at last is a results forum for all of us who crawled around the town center mall in Valencia, California! We were a group of 13 or so, all students from CalArts (just down the street). It took a little while to organize--it was sort of last-minute! But I was really ...

Re: San Francisco [RESULTS]
John D- Wow, thanks for such a compliment! I appreciate that you took the time to write all that... I'll have to write it shorthand, but I agree, everyone did such nice pieces. Everyone I meet at the Crawls seem so talented and humble, and it shows here on the forum.

Re: San Francisco [RESULTS]
Ok, my mom's been bugging me about getting my pics up here! And I've just been lazy. Great work everyone! It was a fun Crawl! http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x254/pigsheepcat/bigchin.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x254/pigsheepcat/helmetkid.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x254/pigs...

http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/3536/marinamapparkingtd0.th.jpg I scanned a little pocket-map of the Ghirardelli Square area because it had a lot of parking garages on it that Google Maps didn't show. I think I'll go with this little map when I drive down tomorrow... Click the image and it gets ...

I think I'll be driving, but as for parking...ah, I was about to ask you... Well I am going to try to do some research before I go down there in all the traffic and SF streets. Might have to park a ways off. The ferry would be fun, but it's $18 for a two-way ticket, I think, for each person....

I'm looking over a map of the Marina and Fisherman's wharf...and I'm actually hoping someone might know of a parking garage a little closer to Fisherman's wharf... The one I mentioned would just require more walking than sketching. It'd be quicker to get to the Marina, but I realized that I'd probab...

Looks like there are a few different areas of interest to everyone, and all of them sound great. I know the SketchCrawl group has explored the Ferry Building, Washington square and North Beach already, but still those are fantastic places to be. If we wanted to start somewhere new, I don't think the...

Yep, my mom (a.k.a. Redhen!) made those dolls :) I had a great day, though it wasn't very productive artwork-wise...here are my meager offerings! http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x254/pigsheepcat/all-same-hats.jpg This was the last drawing of the day. I wish I would have spent more time on it. htt...
