Kamakura is one of my home town! Very "natsukashii" and I wish I was there for the sketchcrawl

Re: Los Angeles

Marina del Rey Fisherman's Village sounds good. I've never been there so I don't know a central point to meet.

thanks to all for the feedbacks. john - great sketches! That plaza isn't that big and yet there's so much to sketch. The bottom one with the table /booth really captures the atmosphere of that place. slavidzee - all my sketches were done in my (Utrecht) sketch book. It's just regular paper - 65lb.

Los Angeles - CA - USA [Results]

I don't see any LA posts yet, so I guess I will start - I took the Goldline Metro to China town. I got there early and started my walk in the residential area. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2390/2207624105_1d97d33358.jpg A lot of people were walking towards the main streets. I saw people doing tai-...

thanks for all the positive feedbacks! I like street scenes an buildings. I've been trying to be more mindful about shapes - not just line. I am used to opaque medium and have little patience for watercolor. But watching Lee-Roy and Shiho do watercolors helped a lot. I guess it's a matter of practic...

This was my first time joining a group for the sketchcrawl. It was fun meeting new people and being with others, sharing stories and exchanging art material infos and tips. I've only been to Mitsuwa and Kinokuniya so this was a great opportunity for me to explore the rest of it and what Little Tokyo...

Paintmonster - thanks for the feedback. I would love to visit Sapporo some day!! Lee-Roy - Your sketches of your hood really has that "little pocket of residential area in Hollywood" feel. Really nice. We should both try to make it to the next LA crawl! Ice Cream Monster - I like the monot...
