Re: London, UK

There is a falconry display at Somerset House at 12:00 Saturday: http://www.timeout.com/london/things-to-do/falconry-display-at-somerset-house "You'll get to see hawks, eagles and falcons swoop and stoop (the technical term for the killing dive) in the fountain court, as well as getting the cha...

Re: London UK [Results]

Merci beaucoup, Stéphane! ありがとう, Kumi! Kjulin made it, Mark, but only after we'd moved on to the V&A. I am afraid that we missed her. She DID manage to dash off some sketches insde the Soane museum, judging by the Steven's Point thread. Rules were made to be broken. Great sketch results there in...

Re: Stevens Point, Wisconsin [Results]

Hi Kjulin. I noticed your post just now in the London thread. Sorry that we did not get a chance to meet up, and also that we listened to the museum worker who told us "no sketching". You've gotten away with it with fine results! By the time you arrived at the John Soane House we had moved...

London UK [Results]

The John Soane House Museum, though fascinating, had one minor drawback: no sketching allowed. After a short while there we moved on to the Victoria and Albert Museum. Here are my sketches:

Re: London (UK)

The John Soane's house requires that large bags are left at the door, so if we plan to sketch there bring a tiny sketchbook.

I'm happy to make an early start of it as well.

Re: London (UK)

I'm in, Chris. The weather might be good on Saturday, but an indoor sketchcrawl sounds good to me anyway.

Train station? Museum?

London , UK [RESULTS]

We met at Somerset House, then went sketching by the Thames, finally ending up at Victoria Embankment Gardens. Afterwards we went to a pub to meet a separate sketching group who had decided to sketch along the Lee River.

Here are my results:

Re: LONDON, UK

Yes, it will be Somerset House at 11am, and we will decide what to do when we get there.

Re: LONDON, UK

Hi Gingermoggy, I'd rather find something that we can ALL do, epecially because we'd missed joining up with you on an earlier sketchcrawl. Three Mills Island seems wheelchair accessable, and from what I recall the Limehouse Cut had ramps as well as steps. What if we all did Somerset House in the mor...

Re: LONDON, UK

I've just found out that the Drawing London On Location meetup group is meeting tomorrow. They will be sketching along the Limehouse Cut: http://www.meetup.com/Drawing-London-on-Location/events/127240992/?a=md1_grp&rv=md1 They usually have a good turnout. The last time that the Sketchcrawl and m...

Re: London, UK

Hi Emeraldsong, Just two of us this time, which has happened before but we usually have more people join in. The previous sketchcrawl was HUGE, thanks to a perfect storm of two other sketching meetup groups converging at once. Here is out results page this time out: http://www.sketchcrawl.com/forum/...
