Nice journal-type sketchrawl, Akiko. I really like your simplification of values to capture light. Cool beans.

Thanks for the kind comments, you guys. What a variety of nice stuff here. Storydesign, I like your two-person relationship drawings, no doubt. :) Lifeartist, that's a cool range of colors you got going in your watercolors. Nice! French roast coffee? Where do you get that? Sounds tasty. Larry, neat ...

I remember lots of gorgeous cathedrals in Germany, and castles! So I'm biased towards the cathedral. Really nice.

Right now thinking how having the whole world involved in such an activity came to being *snap* just like that. Jeez...

Wish I knew what you two were plotting in German, haha.

I really like the shapes in your caricatures. Nice batch. The man in the hat, and the elephant. *edit* I made a mistake here about mutter, sorry! I didn't know you were in Germany, man. I've been in Landschtul and Mittelbrun (spelling... hehe) for a bit. Beautiful country from what I remember. P.S. ...

Cool! Especially in that second one, I like how you can just let "loose" with the brush pen. I am just not a fan of rigid ones like Micron. You also made it look like metal with just the primary colors and white. Nice. I outta try a sepia pen sometime, hmmm. Thanks for sharing.

I hand it to you, that's a nice big pack of cool sketches. It's dedication when you have to be chased out by a zookeeper, AND endure that cold weather. Awesome.

I've got to go to the art store and find a watercolor brush - my cat hid mine. Hehe, aw sneaky cats. I have 4 of those and they all act like angels. You know about this Utrecht store. I still think it sucks that they closed the Michaels store on Sutter a few months ago. So close to my school buildi...

As I type this you guys are still out there in SF, sketching! Saturday, 8:30 a.m... Wake up! It's time to get ready, take BART and make it to SF on time. I arrive at Montgomery station at 11:45 a.m. Miyabi Sushi Express is closed, no veggie udon for me. I get to Portsmouth Square at exactly 11 a.m. ...

Neat stuff Daniela. I saw the gouache, nice painting too. Day by day I appreciate each painting medium more. Well... I DID say I'd post some sketch of SF this week, at some point.... and I have a feeling that I might be doing other things, or sketching elsewhere this weekend so here's this one: http...

Look at all these different approaches! Pete, I really like your variety of sketches there, pretty nice. I've never seen that Sinbad's place, though. Nice stuff actually putting green and brown in the water that's up close with reflections. Gutsy and it helps. I really like Biocreep's approach in pe...

Haha, that's some imagination. Invading Zeppelins... Thanks all for those super kind comments, sheesh! Pumps you up. I'll try to do some of SF each week, here and there between homework and other things. Yeah Mike I know what ya mean. Today I drove out at 3 and it felt like 5, and I was already tire...
