Re: London (UK)

Sorry everybody, I feel awful for having affected everybody's plans like this, but that thing I had to be home for has been moved to 11 so I won't be able to make it.

Hope you all have a good time at John Soane's, I was really looking forward to visiting it.

Re: London (UK)

Good to hear from you Neil, hopefully we'll have some crossover time! Chris, I have to be back by 12:30 so realistically I need to leave by about 11:30. It doesn't leave me much time but a couple of hours is more sketching time than I've had recently! I'm good with any of museums/train stations. Mus...

Re: London (UK)

Good to see you guys still here :)

I'd love to make it but unfortunately I'm only free in the morning. What time were you guys thinking of starting? Would 9 be too early?

Re: LONDON UK [RESULTS]

Lovely sketches Zhenia, I really enjoyed your sketches from your last London sketchcrawl, so always good to see more! Nice to see everybody elses sketches again too, I really enjoyed going through them all on the day. Tom, inspiring as always. I couldn't believe you'd done that pencil sketch while w...

Re: London, UK [Results]

Lovely sketches Chelle! So much life in these, I especially love the bored little girl(!) but the gestures are so strong in all of them - they're wonderful to look at. Shame you had to start the day sketching alone, but how great is it that you had a bunch of smiling enthusiastic sketchers en herbe ...

Re: Klang, Malaysia (Results)

zomg! Your wonderful technique of hitting just the darks seems to really pay off when drawing the hot climes of Malaysia! I especially love the temples/churches this time round, you've hinted at all the intricate details beautifully. Hope things are going well for you out there, and btw, you've been...

http://www.thebornimage.com/kdsh7/sketchcrawl28/sketchcrawl28_x900.jpg Pic of the group sketching at the south bank. Think Miz and Marco were saying goodbye. Sorry Neil, if I'd realised you'd managed to acrobatically perch yourself up there, I'd have done my best not to cut off the top of your head...

Re: London, UK

Was hoping to get there early too but I hadn't realised a lot of lines are out of commission today! I'm currently sitting in a rail replacement bus and who knows how long this'll take. I'll look out for you lot when I get there. I'm wearing a checkered shirt and carrying a largish crumpler satchel, ...

Re: London, UK [Results]

KK, I think that's a fantastic sketch! It feels so fluid. Vanessa, It's great seeing how these turned out! They were half coloured when I left - wish you'd embedded them a little bigger though, because those strokes look really expressive! Had a great time on Saturday, shame I couldn't stay longer a...

Re: London, UK

Hey all,

I'd love to drop by for a bit of morning sketching, but I'll only be able to stick around for a couple of hours this time. See (some of) you tomorrow at 11am!

Re: London, UK [Results]

Thanks for the comments all, really looking forward to the next one. Soeren, love how you flipped between the two modes of sketching on the crawl - your atmospheric marker sketches (which my brain still can't comprehend how they're put together!) and those gorgeously detailed statue studies. Brin, l...

Re: Blois, FRANCE [RESULT]

ONLY 2?! But they look like you rented a set and a whole lot of props, created your compositions, photographed them, and then traced the photos with pretty pens. They're both stunning. And using the rhythm of windscreen wipers? inspired! It made me look at your paint strokes in a whole different way.

Re: GREENLAND (south) [RESULTS]

These could be postcards! I'd buy them anyway. I agree with Pascal, I always enjoy it when a sketch captures something of a place, because it really embodies the phrase "drawing marathons from around the world". But yours are also great drawings in their own right, throughly enjoyed lookin...
