We have a group meeting up outside the Capitol Building Visitor Center, and we will be 'crawling around the Capitol grounds Saturday, at 11:00am.

You beat me to it Brush.
Any thoughts where you might want to sketch?

We also have a group that gets together here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1476150926024717/

Re: Washington, D.C., U.S.A. [RESULTS]

I wasn't nearly as prolific as Joel, but I got a little something done at Meridian Hill Park.

Re: Washington, D.C., U.S.A.

Meridian Hill Park it is! We'll meet at the bottom of the fountain around 11am. Its just a few blocks west (by northwest) of the U Street metro station.

A group will also be heading there Sunday if you can't make it on Saturday. Same details otherwise!

Re: Washington DC [USA}

Joel! (and anyone else)

The Brookland Metro is apparently closed this weekend, so we are having a last minute change to Eastern Market instead. We'll meet at Port City Java at the Market and go on from there.

Re: Washington DC [USA}

We'll be having 2 days of sketchcrawling since a bunch of people have requested Sunday as our day out, and a bunch of people also requested Saturday as our day. So we'll be meeting up at the Brookland Metro Station around 11am, with plans to sketch the farmer's market on Sat, as well as the monaster...

Re: Washington DC [USA]

Sunday Sunday Sunday.

It seems to be more convenient for most of the group, so we are meeting up at the Post Office Pavillion on Sunday the 26th around 11am.
See you then.

Re: Washington DC [USA]

Consensus seems to be for the Old Post Office Pavilion! There is some discussion on the FB page about whether Saturday or Sunday would be more convenient. I'll post more as we figure it out.

Re: Washington, DC [USA}

Awesome! So- We'll meet at the Maine Avenue Fish Market around 11 (though it might be prudent to aim for 10:30). The closest metro seems to be Smithsonian Station (Orange or Blue Line), then walk a few blocks straight south. https://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&q=Fish+Market&fb=1&gl=us&...

Washington, DC [USA}

The Maine Ave. Fish Market crossed my mind as a potential location. (Near the Waterfront Station)
But of course, thoughts and comments on where to sketch are welcome!

Washington, DC [USA]

I wont be able to attend this go around- but some other sketchers will be heading to the National Building Museum to sketch! Meeting around 10-11am, by the cafe area inside the museum. There is a lot to see and draw at the museum, but if you are up for it you can buy a ticket to see the mini golf ex...

Re: Washington DC, USA

Well, we'll surely be there for a while. Hopefully we will catch sight of you Joel! To any others thinking of coming: We'll meet at the MLK Jr. Memorial (10:30-11ish), then do a lap or so of the Tidal Basin. Making stops around MLK, FDR, Thomas Jefferson, and most glorious of all: the paddle boat re...
