Cheap Pencils
Cheap "yellow pencils" are not worth it for serious work. Here's what I have found out the hard way: .Substandard graphite leads to unpredictable tonal range. .Low grade gritty graphite sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard. .They ‘spit’ graphite particles onto your drawing ...

Proceed quietly and with a sense of 'place' if you are out doors in nature. It is not just the destination but truly the path there that is also a part of the sketchcrawl experience. Tucson, AZ. My maiden Sketchcrawl
This is a photo from my first sketchcrawl. An artist I meet via an online arts forum met up with me when I traveled to her hometown teaching a botanical arts workshop. What fun to hang out all day with another artist...not much talking...just the joy of companionship with a comrade. Cynthia Padilla ...

Glad you included the ruler, I would have never realized your watercolors were that small  To add that much detail with such a small area to work with is very impressive. You still maintained a nice, loose style as well. Bravo! :D Thanks for the compliments to my wate...
