Re: Sydney, Australia

I say Cockatoo Island again. I know the Urban Sketchers were there two weeks ago, but I want to go again for one. It is the perfect time of the year. Not too hot, not too cold. We might get a fine day this time, but if not there is plenty to sketch inside. Personally I can't go to Cockatoo Island en...

Re: SYDNEY, Australia

Oh I am so late posting this to the forum. I've had to miss a couple of sketchcrawls due to illness and I'd forgotten the routine. But I'm back. I went first to the succulent garden, then to the statue (which I've meant to sketch for a long time) and then to the bamboo. I'm working in a handmade boo...

Re: Sydney, Australia [RESULTS]

I also was at QVB. I had some other things to do, so I only did one sketch of one of the light fittings.
The No 6 means that I am up to day 6 of the 75 day sketch challenge. Pen only. No preliminary lines.

Re: Sydney - where shall we go?

Unfortunately due to current circumstances it seems that I won't be able to attend this sketchcrawl. Grrrr. Don't like to miss.

Sydney - where shall we go?

Hi everyone,
Where do the Sydney sketchers want to go for this winter sketchcrawl? Somewhere indoors? I'm always happy at the Powerhouse Museum and there's a lot of space there for a large group.

Beautiful sketches of Bologna - the red, the arches, the Neptune, the rooflines. Love them all.

Great to see Rijeka joining the sketchcrawl. I've spent a lot of time in cafes in Rijeka keeping warm in the winter.Hope to see your sketches next time when you can get outside more.

Looks like a lovely day out sketching in Brisbane too. Sounds as if you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed ours.

What great places to sketch. That first train with the yellow and blue-violet is nearly coming off the page at you. Wow.

Re: Sydney Australia [Results]

We had a GREAT sketchcrawl at Cockatoo Island, http://www.cockatooisland.gov.au/ , yesterday. I've been out there sketching four times in the last 3 weeks and hope the weather holds so I can go more. Though it is autumn it was a beautiful summer-like day, after a heavy fog. I've made a concertina bo...
