Re: New Zealand [RESULTS]

Here is Jackie's sketch of her house since she was unable to upload to the forum this weekend herself. She says: "This is my house which was built in 1971. It is pretty typical of houses in New Zealand of that age. It's a brick house with basement, aluminium windows and an iron roof which we re...

Re: New Zealand [RESULTS]

Here is a sketch from Jan. By coincidence, she also decided to draw her dog, and by coincidence her dog is also a greyhound!
(I think she adopted her dog about two weeks ago.)

Re: New Zealand [RESULTS]

Nice one, Murray! Good to see that you were able to draw today. This is my other one that I did for the rest of the day (when not in a cafe). http://taranakisketcher.springnote.com/pages/11830150/attachments/6194964 There is this Phoenix Palm tree in front of my house. I have this love/hate thing fo...

New Zealand [RESULTS]

On a rainy winter day in New Plymouth, we decided that we would all sketch the places that we live (sketching INSIDE, basically). Even with the indoor sketching, we don't really have many sketcher numbers on this particular weekend. We recruited Murray from Auckland who said that he might have the t...

Re: Vancouver, BC Canada [Results]

Always nice to see Vancouver again. I'd be drawing (and, most-importantly, sampling) the hot dogs with Dave!

Re: New Plymouth New Zealand [RESULTS] under the mountain

Here are my sketches from the day: http://taranakisketcher.springnote.com/pages/10257314/attachments/5970830 Starting off fresh, I went straight into a high detail one. This is, I believe, to be a 1950's train engine. Then, running out of time and almost time for a lunchtime meetup, I did one more o...

Re: Vancouver, BC Canada - [Results]

For a Sketchcrawl keener like CyberDave, I expected more results posted. Now it’s all clear! I agree about the bit about sketching people. Once they know that you’re drawing them (or even making eye contact) that sketch is usually over right there. Good call on on the tropical enviroment. It’s nice ...

Re: New Plymouth New Zealand [RESULTS] under the mountain

The local corner store - These days, most urban places have a local convenience store. Author William Gibson said that a convenience store could be the kind of place that can sell you everything that you might ever need while most others carry things you can't imagine that you would actually want. I...

Re: Davis, CA [RESULTS]

Excellent sketches, as usual. (I'm following your blog.) All well done and lots of effort. Where do you 'draw the line' between sketches and illustrations? I usually like to put time into each one myself and as a result only get a few per day. Still, I love the result you get. ps 'Slice of Pork'... ...
