New York, NY, USA

Ah July! I'm hoping we won't be rained out for this one so we can go somewhere outdoors. I'm always up for Central Park but am open to other suggestions. Any thoughts?

Re: NYC [RESULTS]

Thanks John D, I'm still getting used to using a pentel brushpen in my small sketchbook. I used to use the Pitt artist brushes which were great for the size I work at, but they run out so quickly. It was nice to meet you and your wife, Johnny, glad you both came out! Love the lemurs and great moveme...

Hi Marty! Lovely photos as usual. You get so many drawing done so quickly! I think my favorites are your sketches from the Mongolian art show and the fish shop painting. :)

NYC [RESULTS]

We had a pretty soggy day in New York, but 4 stoic crawlers met up at the Central Park zoo! The zoo was fairly empty due to the weather, so we had plenty of space to draw. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's sketches! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3585/3433692406_6491c77dc2_o.jpg http://farm4...

Re: New York City

Ok, it's supposed to rain on Saturday. I was thinking maybe meeting at the Central Park zoo since a lot of the exhibits are indoors and that way we can draw outside as well if the rain clears up. http://www.centralparkzoo.com admission is $10 Take the N, R, or W trains to the Fifth Avenue/59th Stree...

Re: New York City

Hey guys! I vote for Washington Square park, although the last time I was through there it was heavily under construction. If anyone has a confirmation that the construction has died down, that sounds like the best bet. Union Square is also under heavy construction. Coney Island's a bit far out for ...

Re: New York, NY, USA [RESULTS]

We had a good-sized group who came out to the Museum of Natural History. We drew there most of the day and then went to a diner to eat and share sketchbooks. It's great to see all the Grand Central posts! Here are some of my sketches from the museum: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3432/3189991880_8f...

Re: New York City

Great to hear so many will be sketching in NYC! There will also be a group meeting at 11:30 in the lobby of the Museum of Natural History near the dinosaur skeleton. Will probably see some of you at the James Jean gallery in the evening. Can't wait to see your drawings from the day.
