Re: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (RESULTS)

Hey Chan, was hoping to see you at the London sketchcrawl, but I guess I now know why that wasn't possible! Your pen work is as stunning as always, interesting how you seem to have increased the 'contrast' levels on these compared to the last sketchcrawl which gives them an even more stylised look. ...

Re: London, UK [Results]

Hedgewytch, shame you couldn't join us again, but your sketches really seem to have captured the serene domestic day you ended up having. Great use of colour to bring focus to certain objects and the compositions are great! The panels are a fantastic touch. Tom, great seeing these again, always love...

Re: London, UK

Sounds good - I'm in!

Where's a good place to meet? Sloane Square tube?

Really looking forward to it, I seem to be relying on skethcrawls these days to knock myself into gear! I'll see if any of the guys from work fancy coming along too, there did seem to be a fair amount of interest.

Re: London, UK [Results]

Thanks all! Tom, I looked up Jules Feiffer, and really admire his work, like a more friendly Ronald Searle. I see a lot to learn from all the pen and ink sketches I see on google images! I've ordered Imaginitive Realism too, can't wait to get stuck into that. Soeren, really hope you can make it to t...

Re: London, UK [Results]

Here's my lot, apologies in advance for the horrendous presentation. Had a really good time on Saturday, the weather had threatened to turn nasty but didn't really until I was on my way home. Always great to meet people who love to draw, and sketching in the national gallery and Trafalgar Square was...

Re: London, UK [Results]

Hedgewytch, wish you could have joined us, although it appears you had a great sketchday anyway! (I love paella). Your sketches have a nice friendly feel to them which I guess comes from the environment of the market (and friendly people giving you paella - have I mentioned how much I like paella?) ...

Re: London, UK

Will be there! The London group from past experience doesn't really come together until much nearer the time, but everyone who was at the last one all said they would be at the next.

Dr.Sketchys seems like fun too, although I'm not sure how available I am in the evening.

oh wow - great to see your sketches here Chan, Becky, Dez & Søren! (/glares at Ollie) - Really glad to see these again, they bring the atmosphere of the day flooding back into my brain. I got a real kick out of watching you all draw, and now again, in seeing the drawings here. Hope you all can m...

Re: Bangkok - THAILAND [RESULTS]

I kind of associate Thailand as being full of colour so it's fitting that all the sketches here are too! Interesting colour bleeds in the last set - they're beautiful.

Re: Prosperity, PA, USA - [Results]

You say you're lucky to live out in the country, but it's your sketches that prove it. My favourites are the 'Greene County Barne' and '3pm Waynesburg PA', but they're all charming.

Re: London, UK [RESULTS]

It's great seeing these again Tom, love how you've assembled them together too. I hadn't noticed the gleeful family behind the abandoned pram before - I think i was too busy admiring the way you'd drawn the pram! I had an amazing time at the sketchcrawl yesterday, it was a lot of fun, and really ins...

Re: London,UK

Screw it. I'll work like hell this week to make sure I can make it. Count me in! So Chan, and Sharada, if you both can still make it at least we'll be 3 :) Any ideas on where to go? It's been a year since I last did a London one. We did Borough market at the last one I was at but I'd be happy anywhe...
