Re: Lazy Sketchcrawl - random location photos
Quite a neat idea. The only thing with google street view images is that the perspective is crazy - extreme wide angle, bent lines and the viewpoint is about 8' above ground level. Quite often you can tell a sketch has been copied from google because one or more of these traits is visible.

Re: BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND
Thanks Mark, I think the church worked well in that format - it is on a hill. The running was the cold, nothing would dry.

Lovely work. We had a similar day (maximum 8ºC) but also had a very good turnout.

Re: BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND [RESULTS]
We started at Duddeston railway station for a short walk to the the Wing Yip Superstore where people drew inside and out, before moving on to the nearby restaurant. After lunch we crossed the road to St Joseph's church designed by A W N and Edward Pugin, finishing up with a lovely hot cup of tea in ...

Re: BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND
Half way break the Wing Wah Restaurant on the site. They do a buffet lunch at a reasonable price but are OK if some people just want a drink (from past experience this is unlikely (they do cake as well)). FINISH: 4 pm, St Joseph's Church, Thimblemill Road, Nechells, Birmingham B7 5HT. The church wil...

Yes, it should be a good one. The weather had been good the last couple of years as well so hoping it will be the same.

Re: Date officielle / Official day
Very true, the announcements are also getting later and later which makes it difficult to plan in advance. We are planning a sketchcrawl in Aston but can only do it as long as it doesn't conflict with any Aston Villa home games! So the more notice the better.

Re: North East England
You are right, A LOT of people seem to visit once, post a question and never come back, at least in England. We do get people on our sketch crawls who've seen in on this site though so keep positing.
