Re: Bryan, Texas [Results]

After weeks, I think that I finally got my pictures added. I never could get them to work from my blog. Couldn't seem to get the url of the thumbnails. So, I set up a Flickr page. Thanks to all of you who tried to help me! Hope I can remember what to do next time! I  Now, my question is...

Re: Sketch crawl in colorado??

I'm not in Colorado, but am trying to get something started in my area of Texas. Here is what I have done, and am planning. Maybe it will give you some ideas. I don't know if you are in a small town, rural area, or city. We have some rural areas around, small towns, and two medium sized cities that ...

Re: Bryan/College Station, Texas

I've just learned that June 21 is also the date for the Texas Reds Festival in downtown Bryan. (Steak, wine, and entertainment, etc.) So there should be lots of people in town and added things to draw. It will probably be much warmer then (but not as bad as July, August, Sept.) but we can always fin...

Thank you, Littlefish. I still haven't figured out what I did wrong in trying to post my pictures. My sister did the painting of the street scene. I did the sketch of Ashton drawing. He still has his baby face, but he is a young man of 11 now. :) He has astounded me since he was a toddler with his u...

It sounds nice, but that sure "feels" small, to me. Might be easier to carry around, though. I might be willing go go $22.50, but would really prefer a larger size. Considering having to pay shipping, though, $20 would be better. Sure would appreciate it if somone would tell me what I did ...

Favorite Pencil

This may be very late, but I just have to add the best pencil for drawing to the list. This is the #314 Draughting Pencil. Berol used to make them, then Sanford. I couldn't find them anywhere, but now think that they are being made by General. They are very soft, smooth, sturdy, and you can't get al...

Bryan, Texas [Results]

I'm new, too, and haven't got this all figured out yet. I'm having trouble posting images on my blog for the past couple of days, but have a couple that I had to do in separate posts. I finally did some of our work as a slide show and that worked. Does that count or do I need to send separte images?...

Sketchbook Preference

I like to work large, personally, so I would like the larger books. I also prefer heavier paper for watercolor or pencil/ink. I'm not familiar with this brand of sketchbooks, but they sound nice and at a good price. I can see where perforations would be okay for the watercolor paper, especially. If ...
