I really enjoyed the latest crawl. The locations have been good, but as always, it's the people that make the time worthwhile.

Los Angeles, USA [RESULTS]
First "results" post, here: http://www.sketchcrawl.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=3592&start=15#p17222 To continue the tradition, here's the results topic. I spent much of my time chatting and trying to think of cool places to go next, but I still got some nice images from the craw...

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA
So it's settled. Start crawling with your pals wherever and whenever. Meet Union Station at 1:00, if you fancy, at the benches outside the tunnel at the back of the lobby. From there we'll split up, to crawl the most territory, and reconnoitre at Won Kok at 6:00 to share sketches and platters of foo...

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA
Maybe we should just wander the Red and Gold lines independently and meet for dinner. My only concern is that we'll all end up in different train cars all day and only hang out at the end. How about this: we have a suggested meeting time at Union Station, say 1:00, so anyone who has been lonely in t...

Los Angeles, CA - USA
April 11th has been set as SketchCrawl 22. A Metro transit crawl seemed popular last time. Gold line was mainly being discussed (SoPas, Chinatown...), but for passenger drawing, the subway usually offers the most variety. Maybe we could arrange a whistle-stop tour and gather crawlers along the way. ...

Re: Los Angeles (RESULT)
I guess I have to. I had fun, but I look forward to lots and lots of practice! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3338/3191047457_bc7d1fc770.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3087/3191047229_69842d9dac.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3504/3191894518_7583fcc7c9.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.fli...

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA
I mentioned at the crawl that I use a semi-glove with my Wacom. It's called a SmudgeGuard (http://www.smudgeguard.com/).

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA
I figured the "crawl" was from one point and then wandering around... on foot. My only crawl was at Fisherman's Village, and pretty much anywhere has a broader space than that little strip. Still, it was worthwhile. I'm all for wandering off the mall. I don't like malls, in general, but th...

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA
I just read Enrico's RSS feed today and I think that the SF crawl has a really good idea. Meet at the end of the crawl when everyone's tired, have a good meal and some drinks, and tell stories from our drawings. Sounds lovely, doesn't it? Our city may be too poorly connected for several different tr...

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA
I vote for the Americana mall in Glendale. I'm looking at photos and I can hardly believe it. Neat buildings and a trolley.

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA
I have a membership to the L.A. Zoo, and two guest passes. Maybe not this time around, since it's a little isolated and people are feeling social and let's-have-dinnerish. But I suggest that we make the zoo a sketchcrawl destination one of these days. I haven't been there in a few weeks. Alina, does...

Here are some contributions from me, in chronological order. My favorite is my third, the little vignette of the bike. http://www.chrislovejoy.com/content/sketch/SketchCrawl%202008%20October/Lighthouse.jpg http://www.chrislovejoy.com/content/sketch/SketchCrawl%202008%20October/Trawler.jpg http://www...

Re: Los Angeles
I've never been to Fisherman's Village; it sounds like an ideal spot. I travel by train, bus, and bike, so it'll take me about two and a half hours to get there. Is anyone driving from/through Pasadena or downtown LA? A carpool would be lovely.

Re: Los Angeles
I go to Little Tokyo frequently, or rather, I go through it. So my impulse is to go somewhere new, but a day of sketching would reveal things I hadn't noticed, I'm certain. Citywalk would be good for the people, but I fear it would be too restrictive for a whole day. I'll come back with some useful ...
