I love your animals, Alisa. Great fluid lines, they really look alive (which I'm thinking is kind of creepy cause those were stuffed in the museum, right? UNDEAD GOATS...)

Awesome work.

That penguin is great! I also like that one of yours, the two people standing in front of the stuffed animals... those deer look really interested in them. Kind of disturbing, actually...

Well, we started out with ten people, and most of them wandered off... they didn't join up with us again, so I have no idea where they went! I think next time I organize a sketchcrawl I'm going to try and herd everyone a bit more, bring up the rear, so we don't lose people who just don't know what t...

Davis CA sketchcrawl

We met at a coffee shop at 10:30 in the morning, collected an amazing 10 people, and, aside from Biga , lost all but one of them within a half hour. We wandered around drawing, and finished up at about 3:30 at another coffee shop with myself, Alison, Alan, and biga . Great fun, and even a turnout of...

You guys crawled through a cemetery? That's great; I would never have thought to do that, but you get some really interesting markers and landscapes that way! There's some weird stuff written on some gravestones...

Ha, cool idea. I expect to see a lot of overstuffed people sprawled around... I'll make sure to take my sketchbook tomorrow.

Great tones you've got there. Yeah, statues aren't going to look at you strangely and walk quickly away, or complain, or really even... move. :D

Karen, is that smudgy charcoal or your waterpen? I like that second one, how it all leads up to the building on the hill.

Quisque - that last drawing of yours, with the stairs! The perspective is right on ... and the seagull.

It's great to see all the drawings you guys did!

Very nice - detailed without being too busy or anything. It has almost a comic book feel to it...

Hey thanks everyone, it's really encouraging to hear you like my stuff. I'm working on a website for my art with some higher-polish paintings/drawings, and I'll post a link when I get it done...

It's been like a month, and I've been struggling to get my computer to work... I finally had to reformat it and start installing stuff all over again. Fortunately, now it's being cooperative... here are some of the sketches I was happiest with, 'cause I did something like 15 pages and it would kill ...

I'll post some of my drawings, maybe later today - I ended up sick as a dog today, so if I breathed on you yesterday go take vitamin C or something.

It was so much fun to see people from the last sketchcrawl, and meet new people... I think I remember some names now!

Wow, those are great... it's so hard to get that kind of saturation with watercolors, you have to be really bold laying it on!
Makes me want to try with some of the tube paints...
