Re: Orlando [RESULTS]

It's definitely strange to think of people ice skating in shorts. I love how the scene tells such a story. Nice work!

Re: New York City [RESULTS]

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Sunil and Suma, it was nice to finally meet you both in person! Sunil- I like the surly subway guy across from the coffee cup. Suma, great watercolors, I especially like the contrast of the whites on the last one with the brown paper. Margaret, wonderful drawings....

New York City [RESULTS]

We had a good sized group of about 25 meet up at the Chelsea Market. After drawing there for about an hour we moved on to the Highline Park. The day was sunny and warm for November and we spent a few hours sketching outside. A number of people left and the remaining group went back to the Market for...

Re: New York City USA

For some reason I'm not getting update emails from this thread anymore. But 11 am at the Chelsea Market wine vault still sounds good. I've been spreading the word about the time and location so we may have more crawlers than usual. The group ranges anywhere from 2-20 something. The only times we've ...

Re: New York City USA

I'm making a few sketchcrawl flyers to bring to an event this weekend to get some new faces out for this one. I'd like to have a definite meeting place by mid week. Does Chelsea Market sound good to everyone else? We can always mosey somewhere else after meeting up. I'm not familiar with the locatio...

Re: New York City USA

Chelsea Market sounds like an interesting idea. I'm not sure how crowded it is on the weekends, but there will probably be some nice choices for lunch there too. It's also close to the Highline park which may be a nice outdoor location to sketch if it's not freezing. http://www.thehighline.org/

Re: NEW YORK CITY, NY - USA - [RESULTS]

Lovely work from Governer's Island! Sumacm, great depth to your shadows on the building. It's also cool to see two different artists' takes on the same scene. Wish I had time to join you there, but I ended up with a few pages done in Flushing Meadows/Corona Park in Queens with a handful of people wh...

Re: New York City, USA

Looks like I'll be bogged down with work next weekend, but I'll probably get out for a short solo crawl in my neighborhood.
Governer's Island sounds great, hope you guys have a fun day!

New York, NY [RESULTS]

About 7 crawlers met up at Central Park for Jazz on the Great Hill. I spent the rest of the afternoon at the Asian American Comic Con. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's drawings! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2439/3713149519_ff244301f5.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3519/3713149521_9f1a...

Re: New York, NY, USA

Since everyone seems to be interested in drawing different areas, why don't we try drawing wherever you wish in the morning and meet up at 1 pm at the entrance to the Jazz festival at 106th and Central Park West. That way, anyone who wants to draw in Williamsburg can do so in the morning and meet up...

Re: New York, NY, USA

Williamsburg is nice, but not easy for me to get to on the weekend. I haven't been to Bryant Park in ages and it's a pretty central area to meet. I think Washington Square Park recently reopened after construction as well. Anyone else want to put in 2 cents before a meeting place is chosen?
