Thanks Donam!! Ok, here are a few photos, we took a ton and it is hard to pick favorites. If you are interested in a few more you may click here to see them on my site. I think we spent 80% of the time walking around taking it all in and about 20% actually sketching - need to go back there! http://w...

Also... this place was crawling with artists, there was an art show and exhibit onsite today and a collection of sketches and artifacts from days gone by. Case in point (pun intended) here is a watercolor kit frm the 1880s! The more things change... http://www.craigcassidy.com/projects/sketching/sk...

Thanks PaintMonster! Ok, here are the first four - can anyone recommend a good scanner? I am getting a new one before the next crawl. I'll post photos and some more sketches tomorrow. Edit: Added a fifth (the building and tall yucca) from our trip out of the garden. I'll try to repace with better sc...

I think the Botanical Garden is the winner then! Nope, we haven't been there yet just the Japanese Friendship Garden. It should be pretty nice there.! We can end the day at the cafe and share sketchbooks and grab a snack. Looks like they have a lot of art programs onsite so we may not be the only on...

I'd vote also for the Botanical Gardens. It is another place I have wanted to sketch for some time.

I concur with an outdoor venue - it should be fantastic weather. Downtown should be fairly central for everyone. Mark/Tony & Co. - any opinions?? sk8r14 would like to toss in a vote for a return to Cave Creek as well; it is further for most, but replete with a miscellany of sketching subjects.

Thanks Nicol! The camera didn't do your colors justice either but these are great - post the others soon (the IHOP one too!). If you need a spot I can host the images for you. Look forward to seeing the rest. Amy & the other Nichole's are coming soon - not sure when Greg will post his.
