Re: Finding One-Another

Maybe it would be a Good Thing to setup a Locations section? I'm thinking about trying to pull together an Orange County group, as there are a lot of artists here, but for the last crawl it was much easier to join the LA crew. If there were a locations section, people could more easily locate activi...

Re: San Francisco [RESULTS]

Holy cow, 61 posts! I see the SF group is as busy as ever. I missed you guys, but had a lot of fun crawling with the LA group this time. Looks like Chinatown was pretty hopping! Re: Los Angeles, USA [RESULTS]

This was my first time crawling with the LA group, and what an amazingly cool bunch of people to sketch with. Monking led a merry band from Union Station through the Blessing of the Animals, Little Tokyo and Chinatown. I had a blast, and look forward to drawing with you all again! Full size images a...

Great work! I like your mix of media too - for the stuff "on the road" is that colored pencils? Your watercolors are delicious! Somehow I now crave a skinny latte :)

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA

that sounds good to me, looks like maybe monking had a place in mind at the top of the thread. in any case, let's just call it official if there are no objections. seems like a quiet group for the number of views.

Also, if someone is the holder of the final itinerary, please confirm here - I'd like to put up some flyers at the studio ahead of time. :-)

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA

Being a n00b to the LA area, I did some digging. Looks like a day pass will be a good deal for this trip :-)

An all day pass is just $5. (subject to zone fees, whatever that means)

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA

Monking, looks like you may be "it" by default ;) That does sound like a long day, but that's the nature of it, I think. I know I always go home wanting to draw more afterwards. :-) So the "schedule" is Start whereever 1st meetup, 1pm, union station End 6pm TBD (chinatown eatery?...

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA

Are we settled on the metro then? Will people be meeting up before or after? At the last SF crawl we went with a post-crawl meet up, which was great for getting the crawl off to a fast start.

Re: Los Angeles, CA - USA

Sounds like a lot of fun, I used to get a ton of sketches on the Caltrain & BART up north. This will (hopefully) be my first sketchcrawl with the LA crew, I've been in regular attendance in San Francisco and am always inspired as a result. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Re: San Francisco, Ca [Results]

So much beautiful work! Mine was an odd sort of crawl, I managed to miss everyone by a few blocks, ending up at Philz  Here's one of the characters I encountered there: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3055/3025330272_19c7bf9e69_o.jpg While the rest are over at http://frostfyre.com/?p=257 Sorry ...

Re: San Francisco, CA 24th St Crawl, USA

I'll be there, albeit a bit late - is the end point still Philz? Looking forward to a fun day of urban exploration. In answer to an earlier post's question about the actual Mission District (as opposed to SOMA), this map might help: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=37.760605,-122.417994&sp...

Re: San Francisco, CA 24th St Crawl, USA

I think someone suggested Phil'z Coffee as an end point. That location is somewhat ideal as it can hold a lot of people, the coffee is good, and it has an artsy vibe. :-)
