^^ I also like your sketches.. And about the coloring.. I'm not sure, but I don't think it would be too big of a problem, other than taking away from the spontaneousness of the drawing..

Ziro Nu's Sketchcrawls..

Duuude.. I started late in the day (after noon) so I only have 6 pages of sketchcrawls.. But still, it was a blast, and I'd do it again. Over and over and over. Here're my pages: The links might seem tedious, but I'm doing it that way because it would take too long to load all of them, and eventuall...

Ziro Nu's Sketchcrawling Photos

Mmkay.. Here're a couple photos that I took during my day. There aren't many, because I thought that my camera wasn't taking the dimly lit environs of Downtown Disney well, so I relented halfway. But here are the ones I took. :) www.geocities.com/ziro_nu/chilis.jpg Met up with my friend for lunch. M...

Iono.. I almost never draw in pencil anymore (pen), but for the times that I do, I usually prefer to use the wood-encased pencils rather than the mechanical ones. I just like the variation of line you can get out of a traditional one, and it's a lot easier for me to find pencils with varying hardnes...

Re: How do we spread the word ?

Any ideas of anyone that I should try and get in touch with regarding SketchCrawl ? I want to spread the word as much as I can ... Some PR for the first world wide drawing marathon would be pretty fun too ... E Well.. How about a chain e-mail? Of course, you would put a descriptive and non-threaten...

^^ I used to feel self-concious about drawing in public, too. But then again, you have to remember that you'll probably never see and remember these people ever again, and vice versa. Also, I've noticed that most of the general public haven't developed/practiced their drawing ability beyond that of ...

I plan to drive somewhere crowded, with lots of businesses up and down the streets. Then, I plan to meet my friend for lunch, and draw with him until his lunch break ends. Then, it's some more driving to interesting locations to sketchcrawl for the rest of the day. :)

Honestly, I don't mean to suck up or anything, but it's pros like you (Mr. Casarosa), Mr. Del Carmen, Mr. Glines, Mr. Timm, Mr. Steven Silver, and so on that inspire me to draw. I mean, I motivate myself, but just seeing those drawings makes me happy, in an enthusiastic kind of way. :)

Since I draw with a pen all the time, I think that that's what I'm going to stick with. If I feel like adding some color, I think that I'd take a few color pencils, or copic markers along. I'm not so sure about watercolors, though. I don't have that much experience with that medium, and if I want to...

Well, I live in Cypress, CA. It's a small town near the Long Beach/Buena Park Area (sandwiched between those two cities :) ). I'm just turned 18, so I don't think I have the experience to be able to drive all the way to Los Angeles, unfortunately. I have a few friends who draw with me, but I'm not s...
