Despite the fact that I requested the day off from work, they scheduled me anyways, so I'm gonna have to sit out the 17th annual sketchcrawl, and do my crawling either early that week (I have Sunday, and I think wednesday off) or later the week after (which I can't remember when I'm off) :( Hope a f...

Paints?

Does anyone do any sketchcrawling with other paints besides watercolors? I saw some interesting sketches on Mike Dutton's site that were (I think Oils) and I've been thinking of trying out some acrylics on my sketchcrawls to see the results.

My sister bought me a large packet of Fabriano paper. Not the journal, but I think I'm going to cut it to smaller sizes and make my own journal. The actual paper size is like 3ftx4ft or close to it.

It's HUGE, and the texture is nice. Can't wait to get my pens on it.

Mike Dutton.

I really love his pen sketches http://blog.duttonart.net/search/label/drawr-ings Fantastic. It's like neat chaos. The structures and environments look like they were built up in the drawings as opposed to just being drawings of an environment. But my favorite stuff of all are these little moleskin o...

Fabriano Artist Journal Question.

What's the texture of the paper like? Is it smooth like a sheet of copy paper or more like watercolor paper?

How does it take pen? How does it take watercolors? This is the next sketchbook I'm going to try based on so many people raving about it.
