Shanghai Theater Academy Dancers

A couple weeks ago, I went to a performance of the Shanghai Theater Academy Dancers. The whorls of color and movement were stunning. Lots of traditional costumes and dancing stories from China were showcased. I scribbled down gestures in the dark. The last two drawings feature a set of girls with long feathers for a headdress. Maybe I’ll add some digital color later. Their costumes were so vibrant!

Hi Karen, on new year's morning I watched the traditional Vienna Symphonic Orchestra and as every year they had ballet sequence going along in some majestic palace ... and after all it reminded me of your posts up here ;-)

I like the second page best ...

have yourself a merry little dancing and a happy new year!

You found me out Peter! I'll post boxing/fighting gestures on the forum when I get more of them collected. Those boxing ones were a first trial of watching TV for more practice on speed drawing.
