Chicago's Crawl

Postby Lindsay » Mon Nov 14, 2005 10:16 pm

Well, the Windy City lived up to its reputation. It was pretty wild here today. But we did manage to get one outside drawing before grabbing coffee and heading indoors.
Enrico, thanks for starting all this mad fun. I've met 3 really wonderful people to draw with in my city and we will be going again! Group drawing is something else!

We decided to draw the clock at Marshall Field's because Macy's bought the store and this historic building, designed by Louis Sullivan is so CHicago. We hope Macy's doesen't destroy his work.

These were done in the Chicago Cultural Center. There happened to be an early music concert this day. We drew beautiful surroundings and listened to celestial music. What more could you ask for?

I had the pleasure of meeting Lindsay and Lisa in Chicago. We had a wonderful time sketching in two places, and I am looking forward to doing it again someday!

Thanks! I've been using the large Moleskine sketchbook--I like the size and the fact that it looks understated.
