I've just posted about the 12th Sketchcrawl on my blog here http://makingamark.blogspot.com/2006/11 ... is-on.html

I hope to be sketchcrawling in London - hopefully somewhere where I can get inside in the event the weather is not brilliant. (You can see what I did on my last sketchcrawl in July here http://makingamark.blogspot.com/2006/07 ... sults.html )

I was wondering whether the axis between St Pauls Cathedral and Tate Modern at Bankside - which includes the footbridge over the Thames might be a good place to focus on. People up to London for the day would also get the chance to see the new hang at the Tate if they wanted to.

My other idea was the area around Trafalgar Square (mainly so I can draw people visiting exhibitions at the NG and the NPG!) as there's a fair few 'sights' and different types of places there.

Anybody else got any other suggestions?

(Obviously non-London based people can come up with suggestions for their own local areas)

A starting time which allows people travelling to get there in time - and similarly to leave in time to do things late afternoon and evening would be good. Link up points and times for people coming and going during the sourse of the day would also be good - maybe 11.00am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm ? What do people think?

I'm going to be sketchcrawling in London on that day, along with some of my friends. We've done a couple of sketchcrawls on our own before, but haven't managed to tag along to an international one before. Along the river sounds like a good plan - although we did a sketchcrawl from Waterloo to the Globe back in April, so I'd be keener to maybe start at St Paul's and head east, along to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge...there's the skating rink at the tower which could provide some good subjects?

Nice sketches, Ambassador. I like the perspective in the second drawing and the detail of the tower.

ambassador:
though the lights went out soon, your sketches are very light and only darkened on the most important edges, thanks for sharing

Katherine T:
I had to bring over one yours to contrast ambassador's - your "penciled" are very nice Image
