New York City (Results)

Postby Alisa » Sun Aug 26, 2007 6:00 pm

It was a small crawl, just Allan and I, but it turned out to be a lovely day. We were at the South Street Seaport at 11 and spent the day there, finding shade on Pier 17 and coffee on Front Street at Jack's Stir Brew. We were out sketching til about 4 and finished the day with sushi at Suteishi.

Here are my sketches:

the ship is utterly awesome, i find ships difficult so this is good to learn from! love the very deep black there too.

I like both ship images. I like the contrast of the ship masthead and buildings in the second one. I can picture being there.

The other images are great too.

Thanks

Alisa, excellent sketches! Looks like you all had fun!

It seems that most sketch crawls involve a sushi ending, i need to get my act together for the next one! :D
