Fantastic work, Marty! The fall is such a wonderful time for color, and your images really capture the color of the leaves. Creates great atmosphere...great stuff!

Love the verticals, which I know isn't very original, it really works -- thanks for posting.

Fabulous work as usual. I just love the composition and expressive style. Always a pleasure to see your work.

I am intrigued with Moleskine's now. Will need to try it with watercolor. Your work is an inspiration!

thank you for your reply Marty!

I am wondering why you use a pink German titled moleskine, shown in the third photo. Have you been around here? Or did you import them ;-)

Great work - I love the front on guy - lovely form - I can feel how he is sitting. And the color of those trees in the photos!!!

Wow! I had no idea the trees changed colors that brightly in Sapporo! Thanks for the photos Marty.

Lovely subway and park paintings. I really like the tilted perspective of the two girls on the street too.

Oh PaintMonster, you style is so clean and expressive! I suppose my favorites are the first and last, but they are all great.

I really like the photos of your completed books too - how fun!
You do live in a beautiful place, don't you? Did you sketch alone?

Thanks for posting the moleskin pics! Those look very cool, and much more manageable than the 11x14 pad I was toting. :-)

Marty,
We were looking at your pictures and sketches during our lunch that day (via our tiny cellphone screen)

Golden Trees - I dont think I recall seeing a tree like that overhere.
I was looking at the Ohdohri Park bycicle sketch back on that day, as my favorite of the set.

Thanks
