Greetings!

I live just north of Austin, Texas, in Georgetown. Are there any sketch crawlers out there in the Austin, Texas area?

To introduce myself, I am a high school art teacher and on the board of a non-profit visual arts organization call Georgetown Art Works. I am so excited about the idea of the sketch crawl, and would like to try it out either in Austin, or ideally, in Georgetown. Our community supports both the visual and performing arts solidly, whether it is in the schools or other civic/city endeavors. We have a charming town square that simply must be sketched!

I am a mixed media artist and lampworker in addition to teacher. I love what I do, and want to get the word out about the sketch crawl opportunity!

I look forward to meeting like-minded artists and spirits...Glad to be a part of this community online!

warmest regards,
carol

Georgetown is about 30 minutes north of Texas' capital city of Austin. We're a quiet community with a rural, farming base, but growing at a quick pace. We are the county seat for Williamson County, have a historic downtown square, a wonderful school district, superb parks and high & bike trails, and as a community we support the arts---performing and visual!

We had a great time today at the sketch crawl. It was colder than usual for this time of year, so I am looking forward to another warmer event in the future!

Thanks for your interest, and I hope your sketch crawl went well.
