Hello from San Jose, CA, USA!

Hello Sketchcrawlers, my name is Helen.
I only found this today and I knew that this is something that I MUST participate in at least once before I graduate. I've been doodling since kindergarten and progressed since then from stick figures to ... figures with a little bit more flesh.
I know that I'll definitely learn a lot from this community and hopefully be able to explore different styles and mediums because for the past (around) 10 years or so, I've been using ballpoint pen and binderpaper, drawing little characters that are very typical for kids my age.
I know I'll definitely join the Sketchcrawlers in my area as soon as I find the right opportunity (after I get my driver's license, of course,) and so I hope to see you all someday! (Although, I don't think I'll be joining any Sketchcrawl groups any time soon... :< )
PS. >> I wonder if there are any people here that are around my age...
I would write more about myself, but a high school sophomore like me doesn't have much to say.
Also, please excuse my grammar. For some reason, my spelling and grammar have been really off lately.
