Hi Amelia, your mom is so talented! Great drawings - love your lanterns and pigeons. And the now infamous "ladies with hats." I think just about everyone got to them at some point.

Cool stuff, Dice. :)

These are all really great. I almost think I would have gotten more out of watching the San Francisco crew sketch than of doing my own!

hi rebecca

my painting is done with water color with white gouache. It works just like a regular gouache but still have some room to use transparency of the water color.

Anyhow, man, everyone did lots of great stuff.
Enrico, I'll be eying on one of your watercolors!!

And this black and white ink drawing by mac_taro.. really incredible. I'd love to see more of your stuff. you have a website??

Love the color sketches that people posted, especially the environment ones. Very humbling and inspiring. And those little dolls are fantastic! Artist action figures!

This is only my second crawl, at this rate, I'll be showing up to another one in another 3 years. (However, my hat appreciates all the love it got. :p )

[update]

okay, I can't seem to manage to get my pictures to show up, they were there in the preview, but then disappeared. However, they are on my blog.

So many great postings this whole week  I missed greeting a
few people: Emma, Dice, Amelia and Leeroy (LA). Glad to see
Winona, Kevin, Enrico, Ronnie and Nate. Mitch and Jim drove up
from Los Angeles

Sorry for the delayed post. Below are a compilation of some loose
brush pen sketches. I seemed to have an off day but made an
attempt with watercolors.

Nice, thanks! And the paper? Looks like it's toned, not white? The effect is very good -- and much more convenient for quick sketching than oils. :)

Sketchcrawl was Sketch-tastic! (I just made up that word, anyone tries to use it I'll sue you) Chinatown has such great architechture, but I couldn't tear myself away from the great characters in the park.

I couldn't get my images to upload here so check'em on my BLOG, which is a short term used for combining the two words, "web"(as in world wide web), and the word "log"( which is a piece of wood).

Wow, more great work from everyone. I feel like a slacker for not getting more work done.

Enrico, any chance you can get Bolhem to post his AWESOME sketches?

Great stuff from everybody! Despite numbed fingers, everyone seems to have been in the ZONE (the drawing zone).

Had fun with the watercolors, which I've been away from long enough to totally forget what I'm doing...

Kevin, Laurel, Marc, Jake, Nonie, and Vince in the middle of the table. We had lunch at a place on Sacramento and Grant... not shown because my scanner is too small: Carol, Amelia, and Erin.

Wow, amazing work from everyone! Great to see so many familiar faces, it's been too long. I finally got mine uploaded - not too many, as I had to head out early, but it was a lot of fun!! Oddly enough, last time I crawled china town, I was at almost the same spot in an identical sketchbook. It seems like this time out was statuary day for me :)
