How about Universal Citywalk?
It's close to a metro station, so folks wouldn't have to shell out the bucks for parking.
Cheers

So many fun places to draw, so little time ... LOL
Last time fellow crawlers also suggested:

-Echo Park

- LA Zoo

I'm up for wherever the majority decides though Echo Park, Eaton Canyon, Santa Fe Dam Rec area sound intriguing - and less expensive than LA Zoo or Huntington Library :D

Hi sketchcrawlers, Hi Shiho!
Haven't made it to a crawl in a while, but hope to make it to this one.
Eaton Canyon could be a fun choice. A good opportunity to do some landscaping watercolors...
Cheers

Eaton Canyon sounds fun. I often hear people talk about the place and said it's beautiful, but never been there. Messimo, I only drive pass that area once ... is there a landmark where people can meet up easily over there?

Hi,
I'm a newcomer for the SF SketchCrawl chapter. I'm down here for an internship for the next 6 months. I look forward to meeting and sketching with all of you. :D

Eaton Canyon sounds good - I've never been there before, so if there's a landmark where we can meet + general directions to find it, I'll be there! Looks like it's also a chance to do some light walking/hiking in nature...I need to feel the fresh outdoor breeze, I've been stuck working on projects indoors for too long!

This looks like the area to check out:
"Eaton Canyon Falls
For a spectacular view of Eaton Canyon, hike to the 50-foot Eaton Canyon Waterfall. You can get there either by parking in the Nature Center parking lot, crossing the wash, and continuing 1.5 miles  up a slight incline, or by parking at the Pinecrest gate and hiking 0.4 miles :D north from the bridge. To get to the Pinecrest gate, go north on Altadena Drive one mile past the entrance to Eaton Canyon. Turn right on Crescent, then right again on Pinecrest. Observe parking signs carefully."
Found this on the Eaton Canyon website.
Hope to see you all there.
I'll be heading in to work late Saturday so I can fit in some Sketchcrawlin.
Cheers

Hi everyone,

I have to go to an eye doctor that morning (nothing major, it was the only time I can fit it in), so I won't be able to get there until around 11am - let me know if we're all meeting up at Eaton Canyon Waterfall, and I'll post the info on Society of Illustrators blog.

Thanks!

Shiho

Seem like the Nature Center is a bit easier to map quest for direction. If it's cool with everyone, let's meet there at 10:30am.

Shiho,
You should stop by the Nature Center, the Nature Center has a little museum thingie. We may be still there sketching at around 11am ... :)
