Elio's sketches (the watercolor book.)

Post by rentahero »

Hi, my name is Elio, I’m a student here at Chicago, and I’m a huge fan of enrico and friends, and sketchcrawling. I’ve been lurking here for ages and I thought today I’d share some pages from my watercolor sketch book.

These are sketches done of antique toys. I work at an antique store and I’ve always found them interesting. Just like enrico, I too use the windsor and newton travel sketch box, although I’m not that much of a fan because the paint inside is the cottman series, which is student grade and that means it has less pigment, but for convience factor and quick sketches, its king!

Such cute cartoon charatcers! I always loved the retro look but could never do them right. I can actually hear that typical 50s musical interlude in my head.

By the way, I like how you coloured in the rocket ship. Very solid.
