Honolulu - RESULTS

Only had time for a quick sketch this morning and the weather wouldn't cooperate, so fueled by Starbucks and a biscotti, I did this little sketch.

When I saw the heading for Honolulu, I was excited because I enjoyed my three trips to Honolulu and was expecting to see some of the sights I remembered. How disappointing for you to have rain. I remember camping in the rain with my daughter and family on my first trip to Hawaii, at one of the botanical gardens. Better luck with the weather next time.

Michelle, keep watching the Honolulu Results for the kind of sketches you are longing for. A group went over to Kailua Beach that day and they will be posting more tropical sketches soon. It takes them a while to post. It doesn't always rain everywhere at the same time in Hawaii I was alone in Chinatown and just did a quick sketch.

Wow, we had a wet day!

The Bus ride from Honolulu over the Pali to Kailua was filled with fog and waterfalls off the mountains.
Met at a coffee shop in Kailua, sitting under a covered walkway with a view of the parking lot, trees, people
and rain! Mark Norseth met us at the coffee shop.

Mugita - I remember your Hawaiian sketches from the last time and was disappointed that you had only one (very lovely) sketch due to the weather. Hope it is nicer for the next crawl!
