I'll be at the Ferry Building Peets by 10am (if not before) and plan to walk to the de Young - Market Street to Page Street, to Golden Gate Park. Be aware that there is a big anti-war protest planned for the Civic Center area - could be interesting sketching, or could get "sketchy."
Someone wondered about the parking at the de Young: it's a flat rate $7, but since the Cal Academy opened it's almost always full by 10am, and street parking is difficult within a mile of the museums. Public transit is your best bet: the N-Judah steetcar, or the 71 Haight bus, or the 5 Fulton bus.

There's also an event going on Sat. morning at the Ferry Building: the 15th anniversary show of West Coast Live is being broadcast from there from 9:30-noon on Saturday. That probably won't be too much of a big deal though.
