Seattle, WA - USA

Post by Josh Frost »

Hey guys I was wondering if you would like to draw over at UW?

This will be my first Seattle crawl although I did the last one in San Francisco. if you guys have done UW already no big deal I just love the architecture and landscapes. There is a lot of good meeting places and plenty of parking.

Let me know what you guys think?

UW sounds great to me! This will only be my second crawl so I don't know if it's been done there before. I will watch for developments!

Sounds great! Count me in also. The 20th Crawl was a blast!

Wouldn't deciding, on this forum, not only the meeting place to "kick off" the morning, but also: the place to gather for lunch, and the place for the group photo, and for a late in the day gathering. Deciding ahead would make it easier for those arriving late and not getting "the message" about those details. Hopefully someone has suggestions. I'm only familiar with the bookstore, off campus.

I'm hoping I can figure out how to post sketches/photos next time around.

northwestdrawing,

Deciding those things in advance seems very smart! I know we lost track of a few people over the course of the day at Pike Place. If anyone has suggestions for these events, hope you'll post! I have some generic ideas of campus but they are many years old.
Someone sent me a link to great instructions for uploading images! The first step is, sign up on Flickr and you can upload images to here from there.

Here is the link with instructions for sharing images:

Hey group I am glade you like the idea!

I think a great morning meeting place will be one of the coffee shops on the AVE there are about ten or so. I will do some research on the ones that seem to be less crowded, and let you guys know of anything I can find. let me know if there are some good suggestions.

If there is still a problem I can help any one that needs it to post there images on the site. First off sign up for one of the free photo sites either http://photobucket.com/, http://picasa.google.com/, http://flickr.com/, etc... Once you get that send me a E mail and I will let you know what next you will have to do.

Can't wait to January!

Okay, folks, how would you feel about meeting at the Allegro coffee house (billed as Seattle's oldest coffee house)? It's in the alley between University and 15th N.E., just north of 42nd. Meeting at, say, 10, and then planning next meeting time/place, and dispersing to the campus?
Tnere is also a cafe on the northwest corner of University and 42nd, if you think the Allegro would be too crowded, and a little coffee bar inside the University Book Store.
Thoughts?

Great!
Folks from a couple meetup.com groups including Seattle Plein Air may be joining in the SketchCrawl, so someone (maybe me) will have a tabletop sign that says "meetup.com" if that will help any of the rest of us join up too!
Looking forward to seeing you at the Allegro at 10 on the 10th!

Yes this will be awesome. If anyone need to know parking is avaliable just one block off of University. I forget the exact street off the top of my head, I will try to head down there and get the exact location. I believe its free to park there after noon, so it may be a good money saver to move your car in the lot at some point throughout the day.

Can't wait to see you all!
