Seoul-Korea [RESULT]

Post by Kim Mikyung » Sat Apr 11, 2009 8:24 am

Hi, folks.

Ten sketchers met in Children's Grand Park for the 22nd Sketchcrawl in Seoul.
It is very hot today. And many many people crowded in the park.
Sketching outside in hot weather made me so tired. But I enjoyed sketching happily.
Thanks all sketchers.Be happy!

Here are some photos.

When I was sketching a house and trees, My daughter came up to me and drew two circles and then made two faces. The left one is herself and the right one is me.

At the glass building for birds I could see the octagonal pavilion which was under reconstruction.

Image
The elephant was rolling the log for the kids.

Image
Sitting on the step of a pavilion I sketched the view of the lotus pond located near the main entrance gate of Children's Grand Park, Neungdong, Seoul. People came and went endlessly. The park was crowded with excursionists to view the cherry blossoms.

Yes right, crowded people and hot temperature were another challenge.
But I enjoyed the cherry blossoms with them.
Above all at lunch we had delicious barbequed meat with children sketchers too.
Every time we had difficulty in sketchcrawl. Coldness, hotness, crowded people...
But I was happy to meet old friends and new participant.

Thank you and see you all in next crawl on September,

bh yoo

wow, a great turnout!

Kim, my favourite is the collaboration with your daughter - the two styles go together amazingly well! You should get that one framed, it works beautifully as a standalone piece.

bhyoo, great colours! Really like the sense of scale in the one from the steps of the pavillion. Can't discount how cool that elephant is either.

It was really hot as same as in summer. I sweated a lot. But sketching with friends is joyful always.
I sketched here and there in the park enjoying the crowdedness.

Thanks a lot for all the participants, especially two little sketchers and Angela and Josh.
I hope that the next place for 23rd sketch crawl will be pleasant and comfortable for all the sketchers.
