Madrid (results)

Post by 4ojos » Sat Apr 11, 2009 11:24 pm

Drawing alone, as usual. Cold but sunny day. Lots of people waiting for Holy Week "procesiones", an ethnographic manifestation I don´t really care so I draw the usual landscapes of my area and a couple of bars later in the night.

Love these especially the third, really caught the atmosphere of a narrow street. Sorry you were once again alone.

Dear 4ojos!

Once again you deliver stunning sketches!!!
I know most people from Madrid are very proud of the bit of sky above them and it seems to me that on your sketches applying just a touch of colour on it, it clearly states so!!! :D I don't know if it was intentional, but adds a nice layer of concept to them!
The other ones are great too (of course  )

SALUT

The cyan color emptiness and the building of a black line are very impressive!
It is very good.
I am glad for this sketch to be seen!!

Thanks to all for the comments and support. Drawing alone is not a big problem. I kind of like meeting people at beer time and drawing and choosing my sketching subject more freely whitout hassling anyone.
I forgot to say lots of people were on the street waiting for Hoy Week "procesión". Needless to say, I aimed at the opposite direction.

Wonderful how a little color punches up the drama of the black & white sketches of buildings. Excellent stuff.
