Anyone interested in a Dallas sketchcrawl? Possible spots:

--Museum of the American Railroad (at Fair Park)
--Dallas Farmer's Market
--The old aquarium (at Fair Park)
--The new aquarium (near West End)

Interesting... I've never been to the farmer's market. I vote for it. (Also, I imagine the other places one has to pay for, although the railroad museum sounds very interesting too.)
I was here, if only for an instance.

Come join us 45 minutes north of Dallas in Aubrey! This is our third crawl at Mecca on Main. I want to grow it to be like the San Francisco crawls I participated in with the founders of the worldwide sketchcrawls!
We'd love to have you join us!

Yes, of the four options listed, only the Dallas Farmer's Market is free. I've been thinking the Railroad Museum might be intriguing, because of all the parts to trains, and also because it will be relocated to Frisco next year, but there is always lots to draw in and around the Farmer's Market.

How much is admission to the railroad museum? I've started a facebook event, and if people i've invited are interested, they might or might not be wanting to pay, but I think the museum is a great idea, too. I've never been.

My heart was wishing for some fish to sketch when I suggested some spots, but aquariums are definitely out this time around.

There's also a SketchCrawl a bit further north in Aubrey to consider...

I haven't heard anything definitive from Dallas-bound folk thus far, and the person I was travelling north with cancelled. I'll be headed to the Aubrey, TX SketchCrawl for this one instead.

More info about that SketchCrawl: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=4179 or http://www.meccaonmain.com/calendar/events.htm

Sorry it took a while to post again. Some people and myself will be heading to the dallas farmers market, since it's near and free :) we'll be there at around 2ish, so if anyone still wants to meet up there, we'll be the people drawing.
Good luck sketching, everyone!
