Beautiful work, everyone. Sorry I missed out. That area has some great sketch-worthy stuff and I have never seen the inside of the Bradbury building (except in Bladerunner — and now in your sketches). Nice work! Hope to catch up with you all next time.

Wow! beautiful sketches!
There is an interesting structure.
I think the flight of steps are hard to draw but you all draw nicely.

Hi everyone,
I've never done anything like this, and it was a great experience from start to finish. Thought I would add some photos, too! Here it goes--
I arrived late to Grand Market, but before settling down to draw, I took a walk around the neighborhood for inspiration. This, inside a parking lot:
Ok...I was ready to draw now.
Back at Grand Market:
What a great group! I had a few artistic jitters (this kind of thing is completely new to me), but eventually broke out a pencil and started in. The less I thought about it, the better. There were so many interesting "subjects" to draw. I decided to keep it loose and have fun:

Walking to the Bradbury Building...
And the Bradbury Building itself. The interior is breathtaking
Then I had to leave! I met a lot of great people and had a fun time. I'm really looking forward to the next one...
