Four of us met at the Atlanta Botanical Garden for a glorious morning of sketching. It was supposed to rain; instead we had sunshine, puffy white clouds and temperatures in the mid-60's. Perfect!!
Here are the four sketches I was able to complete in the 3 hours we had set aside:
I tried something new this time -- going with a "minimalist" sketch kit. Here it is, the smallest of the Moleskines and a toystore tin I filled with Winsor&Newton watercolors. Working with such a small amount of stuff really made moving around and sketching much easier than before when I hauled a totebag full of every supply imaginable.
I just loooove SketchCrawl!

superb drawings, I like very much.
I'll try next time to take only a minimal kit like you, instead of tens of pencils, in the end I only use two or three of them

great drawings - lots of details. Thanks for the photo of the kit. It is always interesting to see what people use. I use watercolour pencils, so have them in a roll, alongside my Moleskine

Wonderful watercolors! Your greens and yellows really pop!
Re: ATLANTA, GA USA - RESULTS
Looks like you got your supplies down to a minimum. It helps to have less. You get to sketch more and it's much easier. Great sketches of the botanical gardens. I like them all!

Nice sketches! And I like the idea of the minimal sketch kit. Where do you keep the water?

Really nice water colors!
I like to read that you use the sketchcrawl to push yourself to try new things, I did the same this time and despite the results weren't so satisfactory as yours, it was a good experience at the end of the day... (I still carried a lot of supplies though )
Congratulations from Barcelona, Spain

Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone.
To erlingingl, who asked where I keep my water: Notice the brush to the right of the Moleskine. That's a water brush; the water is inside the handle of the brush.
But I did forget to show the little waterbottle I carry along to re-supply the brush. Next time!

I love the sketches and how simple yet descriptive and interesting they are. You have a way of distilling a lot of information down to it's essence. What are the 6 colors you chose to put into your kit?
