SketchCrawl Seattle

It was bloody cold out side and my fingers froze whenever I would stop to skecth, but I had a great time any way and plan on doing it again soon!

Here are the supplies I used for my crawl:

Image

On to the skecthes. I started out by walking to the Bauhaus coffee shop on Melrose and Pine for a quick breakfast:

I then wandered down Pine towards the market, stopping briefly in front of Nordstrom's to draw the holiday house set up out front.

Image

The it was on to Pike Place Market where I met up with a friend from work who was also doing the crawl. We sketched briefly in Post Ally before parting.

Image

From there I headed south on 1st to Pioneer Square where I wandered into some kind of huge bike gathering where I stopped to do this:

And that was about it. I wandered up to the International District and over to the library, but didn't get anything else I would want to show.

Lots of fun!

My First Sketch Crawl

It was quite chilly in Seattle for the first Sketch Crawl. I started at the market.

This is Post Alley, which is below the fish market.

Then I was off to Ballard at Gas Works Park.

Image

I still need to color this one. I didn't have time as I was on a very chilly hill with no jacket as the sun was going down.

Image

This was so much fun I plan on doing this once a month. Hope you enjoy! Critiques and comment welcome.[/url]

He's not a fisherman, just an old guy on the bus. Apparently he's also a vegan and has cirrhosis.
