Thanks Enrico for such a great idea. I had forgotten how much I enjoy drawing for the pure pleasure of it.

To escape the hoards of Christmas shoppers I climbed up onto the city wall (built by the Romans to defend the city) and drew one of the most famous landmarks in Chester - the Eastgate Street clock.

Wonderful sketches! I really like how you use the ink wash to add tone. Subtle yet powerful!
