The Redondo Beach Pier arcade is weird and too dark. How about Cap'n Kidds' seafood restaurant just north of the pier? Parking in the public lot is cheaper than the King Harbor/Redondo Pier underground parking or you can usually snag some free street parking. Great spot, open air tables, you can pick out fresh crab and they'll boil it for you, could go up to the top of the pier where the fishermen are casting their nets or over to the little pier where there's Polly's on the Pier http://maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=1 ... and the kayak dock. And there's the boat docks. Far more interesting sketching opportunities.

Hey everyone. It was good meeting you guys/girls. (i'm Michael, the guy that came down from Santa Barbara and brought Jeremy from Oxnard). It's too bad it got windy after a while, but I had fun. :-)

I took a couple pictures:

I run a small drawing group in Santa Barbara.
I've also been keeping a sketchbook thread on ConceptArt.org
