I know it's too early to pick a new location before the up-coming crawl even started. But there are some real cool new places, which has been suggested by few crawlers, and I would like to re-post those suggestions here! May be we will get to visit all the fun locations eventually!

- Greystone Mansion
http://www.beverlyhills.org/attractions/Greystone/

-Catalina Verdugo Adobe
2211 Bonita Drive
Glendale, CA 91208
http://www.ci.glendale.ca.us/parks/verdugo_adobe.asp

- Adamson House
http://www.adamsonhouse.org/

- Universal City Walk
Free parking at the Metro station down the hill. Free shuttle take you to city walk.

- Gamble House
http://www.yelp.com/biz/gamble-house-pasadena

-Redondo Beach Pier
Would be a great location in summer! Sunny weather, tasty sea food and lots of people watching!

- Queen Mary

-The Griffith Observatory

Hola! I'm hosting a small group to do a downtown SketchCrawl for this event... we'll be meeting at Union Station at 3pm and working our way down to the 7th & Figueroa Metro Station. We'll probably go thru Olvera St and Chinatown, see Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels and the Bradbury Building, and wrap up at a bar. I'm organizing the group thru Facebook and my Meetup.com group.

Let me know if you're interested!

Well, the weather is turning nicer now, so how about Redondo Beach?
Speaking as someone who lives near the coast, I know now is a great time to go to the beaches, before summer vacation begins and tourists start arriving!

Alina, can you give us more details?

Seem like Redondo Beach is a popular choice right now!!

I think there is an Arcade over at the Pier Fishmen Wharf area ... may be that could be a nice place to meet up. I haven't been to the pier for a long while ... the few landmark I can remember is the Arcade, there is this delicious lobster seafood place, where you can pick a lobster and they cooked it for you ... HE! HE!! TASTY!!

I think it's this place:

Real tasty seafood ... Prices isn't too bad for the quality and portion. :P
That could be a nice place for everyone to meet up as well. They have sitting area near the food place.
There is parking at the pier. You may be able to find free street parking, if you head there early or don't mind a bit of walking.

For those who love adventure, they have paddle boats, kayak ... and may be one of those 14 feet sail boat for rent. Last time I was there, the rent is pretty good ... not sure whether prices go up. It could be fun to sketch and paddling boat at the same time!!

Unfortunately, I don't think I can make it to the SketchCrawl this time, I have to go to family gatherings on the same day ... will have to miss this crawl ... Hopefully I will get to sketch a bit somewhere else.

I hope you all would have a tasty fun sketchcrawl.

:)

Hey guys, sorry I have been so MIA helping plan this coming sketchcrawl.

Redondo Beach sounds fun! too bad its not july or august that's when they have concerts. Maybe I overlooked the post but I'm pretty sure I haven't seen anyone list a time to meet up. Since it's a bit South should we say meet up around 11am? And since its normally play it by ear, I'm not even going to try and guess when we'll be done heheh.

It's $10.50 on Saturday for the parking structure so I would suggest carpooling if possible and/or trying to park on a nearby street that isn't metered.
I've never been to this pier in particular so I don't know exactly where everything is, so we could probably just try and find that arcade Alina's talking about if everyone is up for meeting there. I'm planning on making it to this one since I missed the last one at the library.

I'm not sure where the parking garage is exactly but here's an address to type into google or your GPS that gets you closest to the pier (from what I can tell from looking at all the different maps and using my deductive reasoning). There are directions on the Redondopier.com website for those who know the area and road names, but I'm one of those people who has to rely on GPS to get me most of the way hehe.
* 109 Coral Way, Redondo Beach, CA,

Additional Info on Redondo Pier can be found here:

http://www.redondopier.com/

See ya Saturday!

PS - Please feel free to correct any of this if its misinformation. I'm just going off what I could find on the internet. :D

Hi Everyone,

Redondo Beach Pier, it is!

Let's meet at 11am at the Arcade:

Redondo Fun Factory
123 International Boardwalk, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
http://www.yelp.com/biz/redondo-fun-fac ... ondo-beach

I haven't been to Redondo Beach myself in years, though I think the lobster place Alina mentioned is near the Arcade, so we should be able to find fellow Sketchcrawlers

I'll send out an email to some of you as a reminder - see y'all this Saturday!

Shiho
