Hi Tallahassee area artists,
We are thinking about doing this May 15th sketchcrawl on the coast (St. Mark's National Wildlife Refuge) before/as the oil spill hits.
Please post reply here or contact me if you can particpate.

OK; So far, no oil spill damage visible this far east. As of today, we have 5 commited to crawl the coast; we can take bags to pick up trash along the way--they say it helps to pick up trash before the oil hits the shoreline.

It's gonna be hot, but no rain forcast. Bring sunscreen and plenty of water; I'll be at the lighthouse at around nine and noon if you need anything. some of us plan to stay until sunset. See you tomorrow!

Hi Pascal, Yes, it was a real snake, small and curled up. We were drawing not too far from where they filmed the old Tarzan movies, in the 1930's I think, at Wakulla Springs.

Oh Pascal :!:
That little snake was a pygmy rattler (real name). I have seen the eastern diamondback rattlesnake as thick as your leg and as long a your height, but rarely. The pygmy rattler is shy and pretty. We have many snakes of beautiful color here, most are helpful and not poisonous.
