I'm not sure how many of us took the field yesterday, but I'll post mine and hope the other Mendocino Coast artists will add to our site.
The first sketch I did was of a renowned coast restaurant & inn, called St. Orres. It is built in a Russian style architecture, reminiscent of the buildings at our historic Fort Ross, a former Russian trading post a little south of here, where the Russians and their Aleut Indians hunted for sea otter pelts from ocean going kayaks.
The next two sketches were done at Cafe La La in nearby Gualala, CA:
And finally, on the way home I spotted an old, derelict truck moldering into the forest floor:
Hope everyone had a good day; I know I did.
