Newport, RI, USA [Results]

Post by sumacm »

Did a solo crawl in Newport, RI, on Saturday. The weather was gorgeous; the traffic was what one would expect on Folk Festival weekend. We didn't get there till lunchtime, and I spent a few hours in the afternoon doing a plein air watercolor of the 40 Steps from an overlook spot on the Cliff Walk. I will scan and post that a bit later, but here are some quick sketches I did later in the day at Easton's Beach:

Wish I had a little more time -- so much there to see and sketch!

Nice work! Looks like a great location for drawing. I look forward to seeing more of your watercolors from the weekend.

Thanks, Sunil!
Here's the plein air watercolor painting I did. The Cliff Walk has some great views and I was able to set up my lightweight sketching easel very easily.
